About the role
Fieldnote wants a frontend engineer who cares about the feel of an editor. You will work on selection, paste, and the reading layout. The team is remote across the United States and meets for a short planning call on Mondays.
What you will do
- Improve the editor without making it louder
- Write tests for keyboard behavior that has broken before
- Work with design on spacing, type, and motion
- Watch real sessions when a writing flow confuses someone
What they ask for
- Deep comfort with React and CSS
- Care for accessibility, including keyboard use
- Examples of interface work you can talk through
- A remote setup that lets you overlap with US hours
