About the role
Harbor & Co is hiring a senior product designer for the shop-owner product. You will own a slice of the product from research through the shipped interface. The design team is four people. Engineers sit in the same room on studio days.
What you will do
- Lead design for one product area, including the empty states and the hard cases
- Talk with shop owners once a month and bring those notes back to the team
- Pair with engineering so the shipped UI matches the spec
- Keep the component library honest when a new pattern is needed
What they ask for
- A portfolio of product work, with the problem and the outcome written in plain language
- Strong interaction design, not only visual polish
- Experience working directly with engineers
- Willingness to be in New York three days a week
